NYC photos taken 9/14/1 - 9/17/1
In the afternoon of the attack on NYC, I began the drive from Des Moines to New York, in order to take photos. After 500 miles and just inside Ohio, I experienced engine trouble. I turned around and returned to Des Moines. Thursday, 9/13/1, I boarded a Greyhound bus and was in NYC, 9/14/1. Police would not let non-residents South of Canal Street. Therefore, I don't have any photos of physical destruction.

Postcards I sent to random New Yorkers
After I returned from New York, I sent 364 postcards comprised of my photographs to random New Yorkers. Most of the cards began, 'All Iowans offer our support to you and NYC.' Nearly all of the postcards featuring 'I love NY' were first setup by me and then photographed. Many of the postcards featured old New York City related stamps that I purchased from a stamp dealer and then used as regular postage. I received over forty email and standard mail responses from New Yorkers. Below are some of the images that were sent including one postcard reverse image and some responses from New York.
